International Student Ambassadors

The program

Here in Tasmania we recognise that future leaders need a chance to grow and the Study Tasmania International Student Ambassador Program helps them do just that.

Launched in 2019, the Tasmanian International Student Ambassador program selects exceptional international students to participate in this program and further develop their skills.

We have had ambassadors who have come to study from all around the world including India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, China, Colombia, South Korea, Brazil, Nepal, Malaysia, Pakistan, Myanmar, Cambodia and Hong Kong.

What does a Study Tasmania International Student Ambassador do?

This volunteer role gives student ambassadors the opportunity to represent Study Tasmania at events and student activities, enhance the experiences of other international students and showcase Tasmania as an exciting education destination.

What are the benefits of being a Study Tasmania International Student Ambassador?

Selected for their exceptional leadership potential, our ambassadors have the chance to participate in personal development workshops and other events aiming at developing their leadership public speaking, networking, and communication skills- all while improving their CVs.

The 2025 program appointed 12 International Student Ambassadors state-wide.

Selection process timeline

August/September 2025: Applications open

October 2025: Applications period closes

November 2025: Interviews conducted

November 2025: Applicants notified of outcome
