International Student Ambassadors

In Tasmania, we recognise that tomorrow’s leaders need opportunities to grow, and the Study Tasmania International Student Ambassador Program is designed for exactly that.

Launched in 2019, the Tasmanian International Student Ambassador program selects exceptional international students to participate in this program and further develop their skills.

We have had ambassadors who have come to study from all around the world including India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, China, Colombia, South Korea, Brazil, Nepal, Malaysia, Pakistan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Nigeria, Ghana and Hong Kong.

As a volunteer, ambassadors represent Study Tasmania at events and student activities, contribute to enhancing the experiences of fellow international students and promote Tasmania as a vibrant and welcoming education destination.

The 2026 program appointed 11 International Student Ambassadors state-wide.

Recruitment for the 2027 program is now open.

31 August 2026: Applications open

3 October 2026: Applications period closes.

Early November 2026: Interviews conducted

Mid November 2024: Applicants notified of outcome

Only shortlisted applicants with be contacted for an interview.
