International Student Ambassadors

The program

In Tasmania, we recognise that tomorrow’s leaders need opportunities to grow, and the Study Tasmania International Student Ambassador Program is designed for exactly that.

Established in 2019, the program selects exceptional international students studying in Tasmania to further develop their leadership and professional skills.

Since its inception, ambassadors have represented countries from around the world including India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, China, Colombia, Chile, Bangladesh, Ghana, South Korea, Brazil, Nepal, Malaysia, Pakistan, Myanmar, Cambodia and Hong Kong.

Role of a Study Tasmania International Student Ambassador

As a volunteer, ambassadors represent Study Tasmania at events and student activities, contribute to enhancing the experiences of fellow international students and promote Tasmania as a vibrant and welcoming education destination.

Benefits of becoming an Ambassador

Ambassadors are chosen for their exceptional leadership potential.

Through the program, they gain access to personal development workshops and events focused on building skills in leadership, public speaking, networking and communication – all while strengthening their resumes.

The 2026 recruitment process has closed, and we are proud to announce that 12 International Student Ambassadors were appointed across the state.
