My name is Adrian. I am currently studying Master of Social Work at UTAS. Being originally from Vietnam, I have spent some time in England for high school, in Melbourne for my undergraduate degree in Political Sciences, then relocating to Hobart because of my strong affection and admiration to its nature’s beauty.
I am an avid, yet novice bushwalker who loves to challenge myself in conquering different types of terrains. Tasmania is truly one of a kind in the way its landscape is formed in a unique alpine environment, with bare rocks and permanent snow continuing onto the summit, especially Cradle Mountain and Walls of Jerusalem regions. I also have manage to become acquainted with like-minded hikers and form friendships with them easily as the Tasmania community is a tight-knit one. Essentially to me, there are challenging yet satisfying journeys, magnificent landmarks and destinations with great companionships.
I have travelled far and wide between continents and in different stages of my life since I was 16 but Tasmania is the place I hold dear to my heart. As a Study Tasmania ambassador, I hope that I could share my stories so far in Hobart, especially their friendly communities and neighbourhoods, with newly arrived students to assist with their settling experiences and to build a sense of belonging to this gorgeous island.
